About Tse
Welcome to Chez Tse. After 12 years in marketing, I shed my corporate responsibilities and headed to France. There I studied both cuisine and pastry at Le Cordon Bleu Paris finishing first in both disciplines. After graduation, I turned my sights on Parisian kitchens and completed a grueling internship at Le Restaurant Guy Savoy, rated one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. I then studied pastry at the internationally famous Pierre Hermé where I made macarons, tarts, and entremets (cakes). I now live in the Portland area where I am a chef, Sur La Table culinary instructor, and a food writer.
At Chez Tse, I bring my kitchen to yours. Whether you’re planning a birthday dinner, cocktail party, or just a casual gathering, I will work with you to create a memorable meal.
I support local, in season, and sustainable ingredients grown here in the Northwest. Because I care about what goes into your body as well as the impact on the planet, I avoid overly processed foods, artificial ingredients, and chemicals. I primarily shop at New Seasons for your event.
On the day of your event, just sit back, relax, and enjoy your guests. Chez Tse takes care of the rest. Here’s what your event includes:
- A client meeting to discuss your event, number of people, and type of food.
- A customized menu created specifically for you and your guests
- Grocery shopping the day of your event
- Food preparation in your home using equipment from my mobile kitchen
- Food presentation and service
- Complete kitchen clean up
If you’d rather hone your culinary or pastry skills, how about a private class in your own home? You and a few family members or friends can learn proper knife skills, special cooking techniques, and new recipes. Then you can invite more people over to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Chez Tse serves the greater Portland area, Hood River, and Salem.
